Florida Residency Declaration for Tuition Purposes (Dependent Student- Under the age of 24)
This form is for dependent students — that means you're under 24 and trying to prove Florida residency. To complete it, you’ll need a parent or guardian’s signature and two documents from them (like a Florida driver’s license, car registration, or voter card).

Florida Residency Declaration for Tuition Purposes (Independent Student- Ages 24 or older)
Fill out and sign the TSC Residency Declaration form for Independent students if you are 24 or older.
You are considered independent if you meet any of these:

24 years old or older
-
Married
-
A grad or professional student
-
A veteran
-
Active military
-
A ward of the court
-
Have legal dependents (not a spouse)
If you don’t meet any of these but still want to claim independence, you must show your most recent tax return (proving you made at least $6,300) and give two documents proving Florida residency

Homeless Waiver Verification Form
Homeless Student Tuition Waiver
This waiver is for students who are experiencing homelessness. You may qualify if:

You do not have a fixed, regular place to sleep at night
-
You are staying in a shelter meant for short-term housing
-
You are staying in a place not meant for long-term housing or comfort (such as a car, park, or public space)
This follows the definition in the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.
What The Waiver Covers:
This waiver covers:

Tuition
-
All in-state fees (including lab, materials, supplies, and extra fees)
-
Credit hour courses, including prep classes
-
Clock hour programs (PSAV)
How to Apply:
You can send your completed waiver:

By mail or in person to the Admissions and Records Office
Important: Submit the waiver by the 5th day of classes.
Do I Need to Submit it Again?

No, as long as you stay enrolled at TSC

If you stop taking classes for 12 months or more, you’ll need to submit the waiver again

It’s a good idea to check in with your Admissions Navigator each year to keep your waiver active

Non-Degree Course Request Form
Fill out this form if you don’t want to earn a degree or certificate from TSC but still want to take classes. You must upload an unofficial transcript that shows you meet the requirements for the class you want. If you just graduated from TSC or were a TSC student before (and haven’t gone to any other college), you still need to upload your unofficial TSC transcript.

Complete this form if you're a current student that is listed out-of-state but wishes to be in-state

Reverse Transfer Form
Reverse transfer is the process of awarding an associate degree after a student transfers to a Florida four-year public institution and completes degree requirements. Students who have earned at least 30 credit hours towards an associate degree at Tallahassee State College may request a Reverse Transfer once they have completed all degree requirements. Students must submit an official transcript from the transfer institution(s) to the Admissions and Records office.

State Employee Tuition Waiver
Complete this form if you're a State Employee to receive up to 6 credit hours towards your tuition. Note: this doesn't include third or fourth-course attempts, lab fees, books, and student service fees if applicable.
