Tallahassee State College Announces Spring Graduation Ceremonies

Tallahassee State College will welcome more than 1,500 new graduates to the alumni family during its commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 1, at 6 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. 

Christian Caban, District 2 County Commissioner and TSC alumnus, will deliver the keynote address. Destinee Britto, the Student Government Association President for 2024-25, will provide remarks on behalf of the student body. 

In addition to the main commencement ceremony, the College has scheduled several special events to celebrate its graduates: 

  • Dual Enrollment Graduates Recognition Ceremony: Tuesday, April 29, at 5 p.m. in the Workforce Development Ballroom on the main campus.
  • Veterans Cord and Coin CeremonyWednesday, April 30, at 10 a.m. in the Veterans Success Center; honoring graduating veterans for their service to the nation and their academic achievements.
  • Healthcare Professions Pinning Ceremony: Wednesday, April 30, at 5:30 p.m. in the Lifetime Sports Complex; a cherished tradition in the healthcare field, symbolizing the graduates' transition from students to professionals.
  • Florida Public Safety Institute Corrections Program Graduation: Friday, May 2, at 10 a.m. at the Florida Public Safety Institute Conference Center. 

“We are so proud of each one of our graduates and are looking forward to celebrating this momentous occasion with them,” said Dr. Jim Murdaugh, President of Tallahassee State College. “This year’s commencement is a celebration of the hard work, perseverance, and achievements of our students, as well as the continued growth of our College.”
