Two members of the Tallahassee Community College staff were elected to the Association of Florida Colleges (AFC) Board of Directors.
Gregory Williams, staff assistant in the Division of Communications and Humanities, has been installed as president of the AFC Board. He has been involved with the AFC for eight years having served in many leadership positions including President-Elect, Vice President for Commissions, Career and Professional Employee Commission Chair, Planning and Development Committee Chair, Regional 1 Representative for Student Development Commission, and TCC Chapter President. Williams is only the third African American male to hold the position of president.
Sharon Walker, staff assistant in Student Affairs, will serve as Vice President of Commissions on the AFC Board. She has been involved with the AFC for nine years having served in leadership positions including Region 1 Representative for Career and Professional Employees Commission, Region 1 Representative for Membership Development Committee, and Region Director as well as TCC Chapter President. During her tenure as Region Director, the region was named Region of the Year.
