Tallahassee Community College’s Eagles RISE Summer Academy is being recognized as a Program of Promise by the National Organization for Student Success (NOSS). The College will receive the award virtually at the NOSS annual conference this week.
The summer bridge program is a hybrid experience that includes free tuition, books, materials and serves as a smooth transition from high school to college for qualifying Florida graduating high school seniors.
“The entire Eagles RISE Summer Academy team is honored to receive this award from NOSS,” said Sharisse Turner, Dean of Transitional Studies and Director of the Eagles RISE Summer Academy. “We are delighted that an impactful program at Tallahassee Community College is receiving national recognition as a promising practice in student success.”
NOSS recognizes programs that use effective and promising practices that promote student success and development. It also acknowledges initiatives that incorporate strategic plans that demonstrate outstanding success and serve as potential models for other programs.
The NOSS Executive Board created the Programs of Promise: Outstanding Program Recognition to honor and recognize exceptional programs that exemplify the mission of NOSS.
